peppers & hot sauce recipe

Geoff, I just lay my peppers on newspapers where ever I have room, dry
place, of course, then just let them dry. It takes a few weeks. When
thoroughly dry, store for later use.

I make my own hot sauce, quick and easy, cheap too for chileheads.
Here's the recipe:

Julie's Red Hot Sauce

Handful of dried red chile's (any of the long slender red chilies you
like - remove any stems).
1/4 cup dried onions
1 t. salt
1 t. cumin
1 t. garlic powder
1 t. oregano
2 C. water
1- 8oz. can tomato sauce

Bring all ingredients, except tomato sauce, to a boil, simmer until
peppers are re-hydrated. About ten to fifteen minutes. Place in
blender, add tomato sauce and blend until smooth. Add more water if too
thick. You can adjust any of the spices to your own taste.

This is similar to a Pico Pica type sauce, tastes better and costs a lot
lesssssssssss$$$$$$$
