RE:Kombu

Well, it's not paper thin-it's very stiff and about an eigth of an inch
thick. The package says kombu. Perhaps I should clarify that I cook my
beans all day in a crockpot, and I think that almost anything will
dissolve after 12 hours of slow cooking.
