Oat Groats

'Good Food" by Margaret M. Wittenberg defines steel-cut or scotch oats as
follow:
 "steel-cut or scotch oats are whole oat groats that have been steamed and
cut into small coarse pieces with sharp steel blades to reduce cooking time
from 90 minutes for whole oat groats to 30 minutes."
