Re: Half Price Bookstore for fatfree cookbooks

Half Price Books is a chain store where I buy lots of cookbooks. Basically
they will buy them from you at 25% of original cost and then they sell them
at 50% of original cost. Sometimes the books are new. I love going there
because you never know what treasures you will find. Recent purchases:

Daily Bread by Cindi Flavhive-Sobel ($4.98)
Vegetarian Celebrations by Nava Atlas ($5.98)
Baking without fat by George Mateljan ($5.98)
The American Dietetic Association's Complete Food & Nutrition Guide (1998
version--$12.48)

They usually have tons of Weight Watchers Cookbooks and most of the
McDougall and Ornish books. Sometimes I've seen Bonnie Hinman's Lean,
Luscious, and Meatless there which I think is a great book for new
vegetarians. If they don't have what you want one week they might have it
the next time you visit. There are four stores in our large metropolitan
area. About once a month we get the bug and visit one. My son gave me a
gift certificate for HPB for my birthday so I need to shop again soon.
