celery preservation

If you want to keep fresh celery around longer without it going wimpy, clean and
cut it into sticks, put them in any container that you can then completely cover
them over with water. Store in the fridge.  You can do the same with carrot
sticks and green pepper slices.  This way they can be used as fresh, unlike
freezing (also a good idea) that makes them only good for cooking.
