holidays and glucosamine

Re: Karen's request.

I think I can make a thread between Karen's request for info on glucosamine
sulfate with chondroitin, and this digest.

Glucosamine sulfate is a natural component of our connective tissues, and
is a useful supplement for the growth and repair of cartilage which is
damaged in osteoarthritis.
There is something worth mentioning about the supplement, though.
Glucosamine is derived from shellfish (usually crabs or prawns), and is
therefore neither kosher OR vegetarian. (Probably not the best for people
with severe shellfish allergy, either!)

Speaking of kosher, Jayne's meal suggestions for Passover were useful. I
ALWAYS have to stretch my culinary imagination at this time of year, so
suggestions are welcome! In the meantime, I'm hauling out some of my
Passover recipes today, and will gladly share some of the 'tried and true'
favourites.
